Back to Basics With SEO’s Ingredients

Search engine optimization (SEO) is something that all businesses should know how to leverage. After all, if your digital assets do not perform well on SEO and cannot be seen on the first page of search engine results, then your business will most likely not succeed. On the other hand, if your business comes out on top of search engine results, web users would most likely trust and engage with your business.

The thing is SEO is not really that difficult to implement. What’s great is that there is a wide array of tools that can help your business at getting better in SEO, and in turn, make your venture grow. Google has Search Console, a free service of the world’s largest search engine that gives you information on the health of each of your site’s pages. Other tools that have proven to be part of a lot of business’ SEO success include SEMrush, FatRank, and Keywords Everywhere, just to name a few. These tools improve your performance in the factors that shape SEO. But what factors are these? Let’s take a peek.

Research on what keywords click

The algorithms of Google and other search engines are the ones responsible for ranking web pages based on a number of factors, one of them being keywords. Of course, the most popular keywords are already “owned” by the world’s most famous and biggest businesses, for the most part, because their brands are already keywords that web searchers actually use when they look for them on the internet.

So, if you are a small business that is just starting with SEO, it’s best not to assume that your brand is being searched by thousands of web users. In your website’s content, try to use keywords that are at least relevant to your business.   Those words that rank higher when you run then through tools like FatRank will obviously benefit your business if you include them in your pages’ content. This is why it is important to research which keywords related to your business are most likely to be searched on Google.

Creating a DSA campaign is a cinch. Technically, you can add DSAs to a search campaign that is set to all features, but we recommend creating standalone DSA campaigns. All you need to do is set up dynamic ad targets, which are based on your site content. AdWords will use this data to identify a list of product categories. If a site is well-indexed, there are typically plenty of categories to choose from. If you want to focus your campaign on a specific product category or brand, you can get more granular and set ad targets for specific webpages. This allows you to create your own category based on a URL, page title, or page content.

Provide valuable content that users can’t see anywhere else

Your business becomes more valuable if you provide not just goods and services, but content related to them. Content comes in the form of product descriptions, written articles, blog posts, videos, photos, etc., so you can’t have the excuse of running out of content. Content is important because it is what search engines go through. If your web pages provide good content, search engines will most likely rank your site high when a search engine user looks for something that is related to your business (or types in keywords that you have used in your content). That’s already one huge foot in the door of a potential customer. When that search engine user clicks and finds value in what he or she reads off your website, then the chances of that person converting into being a customer is very high. But then, you have to make sure that the content you provide is unique because Google will penalize a website that has content found in other websites with lower search rankings. Moreover, our content cannot contain too many keywords, even if they are the right keywords. Keyword stuffing is so 2000s and is a huge SEO no-no.

Without content, you can’t generate leads and nurture them to customers. But what content gets a lead’s attention? And what type of material convinces them to buy from you? By utilizing and creating collateral for every stage of the buyer’s journey, you can provide all the necessary information to get users to sign that dotted line.

Build authority and relationships with links

Backlinks, or when relevant businesses link your website to theirs, are important if you want to increase your Google ranks. The more links you have, the more connections you will have, the more Google will consider your business a legitimate one, which will result in better rankings.  Avoid broken and spam links and cultivate relevant and useful ones – those that apply to the service or product your business provides.  There are also some sites that allow you to share your content with them or make you write for the as a guest blogger. The more links and connections you have, the better you are in establishing your biz’s reputation online.

On an individual page, search engines need to see content in order to list pages in their massive keyword–based indices. They also need to have access to a crawlable link structure—a structure that lets spiders browse the pathways of a website—in order to find all of the pages on a website. (To get a peek into what your site's link structure looks like, try running your site through Link Explorer.) Hundreds of thousands of sites make the critical mistake of hiding or burying their main link navigation in ways that search engines cannot access.

Rich Snippet Search Results are now a thing

Although relatively new (and precisely because they’re new, so they are not yet that overused), small businesses should already know how to master using rich snippets to their advantage. Rich snippets usually include answers to questions that people ask a search engine. For example, if you want to search for a business, Google snippets will show information about your business, such as your address, operating hours, etc.

These can be a bit irreconcilable with your SEO efforts since people might not feel the need to click on your site anymore when they already see everything they need on the snippet, but then it can also be good for people with poor WiFi connections or those with limited data on their smartphones. Anyway, if they are really interested in your products or services, they will eventually convert to being paying customers, so that’s still a win for you.

In an experiment from Catalyst Search Marketing, one brand saw a 150% improvement in CTR when they added review stars (rich snippets) to their product pages.

All Systems Go Marketing Publishes New Blog Post On Local SEO

La Mesa, California based digital marketing company All Systems Go Marketing is pleased to announce that they have published a new blog post that explains how to get results via Local SEO. Since they launched their operations in 1999, All Systems Go Marketing has been focused on working for and partnering with small-to-midsize businesses. Since 2015, they have exclusively provided their services to HVAC companies.

Craig Wright, a representative for All Systems Go Marketing, says, “If you are a small business owner wondering what options you have in the highly competitive and expensive world of online marketing, you need to look into investing in Local SEO. Why? Because local searches constitute a whopping 46% of all Google searches. On top of that, every day, local businesses are being searched by 58% of mobile users, and 72% of them patronize a store within five miles of their vicinity. What do all these statistics mean? Simply that if you want your small business to gain even just a bit of prominence in your area, you need to implement local SEO practices, starting off with the very basic step of making sure your local business’ website is optimized so that when a targeted local audience does a search, your website appears on the first page, if not the top, of search results.”

In the new blog post, All Systems Go Marketing provides a number of Local SEO best practices for businesses to follow and implement. One such practice is ensuring that the business’ NAP (Name, Address and Phone number) is cited. The blog post reads, “The more NAP citations you have, the higher your chances of ranking high. That’s because Google and other search engines consider a high number of NAP citations as proof that your business is authentic and legitimate. Having NAP citations in as many online directories and legitimate websites is a great practice to establish yourself in local SEO.”

The company also recommends that businesses have a solid link building strategy that is effectively executed. In the blog post, All Systems Go Marketing writes, “Link building is not just an important aspect of a general SEO effort, but in local SEO as well. By having strong links, you will be given direct referral traffic as you effectively improve your reputation and brand visibility. To build links effectively, try to be featured in directories, whether they’re of start-ups or of the more prominent brands in your industry. Local community and city websites can also be tapped on for more links, as well as local businesses that are complementary, not direct competitors, to your own.”

The blog post also goes on to explain the importance of other Local SEO tactics, such as ensuring that the business is listed on important directories like Google My Business and Bing Places. As the company explains, Google My Business provides local businesses with detailed instructions that they can follow to successfully optimize their online presence. Having a Google My Business profile is in fact one of the first steps that small businesses should take as part of their local SEO efforts. In addition to Google My Business and Bing Places, All Systems Go Marketing also recommends that businesses ensure their presence on other directories, such as Yelp, Facebook, Instagram and so on.

Wright says, “In the modern digital marketing landscape, if you want any real success, your business needs to have a strong online presence. A key part of a strong online presence is having an airtight Local SEO strategy that is masterfully implemented. At All Systems Go Marketing, our sole priority is to provide you with all the help you need to establish your online presence and succeed. Contact us today to learn more about how we can help.”

Those who want to learn more about All Systems Go Marketing and their services are welcome to visit the company’s website. Additionally, they encourage interested parties to get in touch with Craig Wright directly via email or phone. The company can also be reached through the contact form on their website. All Systems Go Marketing also maintains a presence on Facebook where they frequently post updates, share media and communicate with their clients.

Get Your Online Biz a Visual Edge

If you are a small business that is just learning the ropes of online marketing, then, be warned: the field is overly competitive. You may have the best products or provide praiseworthy customer service or, but you can still end up being an unknown brand on the Internet that not a lot of web users recognize.

Therefore, you need to get your hands on some effective SEO strategies. The battle for customer recognition and search engine rankings is so competitive that you need to have a tight grasp of all your content resources. Knowing what kinds of content you have at your disposal allows you to know which formats are your strengths and which ones to play up to your business’ advantage.

If you have a lot of visual content, then you’re in luck. Here are some ways to develop and optimize them so you can maximize the benefits they bring to your business. Just remember, you need a bit of work to optimize your visual content assets as these days, high ranking visual content is not just made up of some royalty-free images and last-minute copy plastered to your website.

Make video work for you

While text is still the predominant form of content on the internet, videos have been catching up. Whether it is because of everyone’s changing preferences from reading to watching or the shortened attention spans among web users who get easily bored with text, videos have taken off in popularity. Video has been proven to be effective in conveying messages and making users act, with 2015 figures revealing that over US$7 billion have been spent by companies just to be successful in online video marketing. Of course, YouTube is the premier platform for video content and by now, you should know that videos can be ranked higher if they have the right factors.

It's a fairly straight forward tool - when viewing any YouTube video, tap on the Tag Snag icon and it will come up with a listing of the tags the creator has used for that clip, as shown above.

In addition to this, Tag Snag also enables you to extract the tags from multiple YouTube videos at once. If you conduct a search, then use Tag Snag in the results screen (with the 'Multiple Videos' option checked), it will display a listing of all the tags used for those videos

Not just any image, but relevant Images

Just posting any image may improve your website’s aesthetics, but there is no guarantee that your Google rankings will increase because of these visual additions. What will help in your Google rankings are images that are relevant. Web-users appreciate interesting images, and a 2018 study proves that the more relevant pictures people see on your pages, the more time they spend on reading your content.  But since Google doesn’t read images yet, putting good quality alt-tags and keywords with them should allow Google to discover your pictures and possibly rank your website high.

There’s more to image SEO than writing a few alt tags—a lot more.

Some may even argue that with Google’s recent advances in machine learning, alt tags no longer matter.

Google can tell that this is a photo of a cat with near-perfect accuracy. That’s impressive.

Why not add memes?

Visual content is very relatable and if you want to take this reliability angle further for your business, there’s nothing more that can help you with that than memes. They are relatable, they are fun, they are likable, and the best part of this is, those who like your memes can share them. That could be a possible viral opportunity for you. So, why not use this chance for more traffic to your advantage?

Still not convinced? Meme marketing has gotten a lot of traction these days.

Although some memes are evergreen, others are very dependent on trends that currently resonate with audiences. When using memes, brands need to be sure the text sounds up to date and natural, otherwise savvy younger audiences will tune out. The distinctive wording of some memes (“me when I…,” “that feeling when…” and “when you think…”) is popular with big brands like Pizza Hut and newer brands, like pet accessory company Tooth and Honey, that may want to appeal to niche markets who are accustomed to meme culture.

Visual social media is key

For visual content, your best social media platforms are Pinterest and Instagram. Not only are these platforms more focused on visual content, but they also have tools you can use that may help you on ranking higher, such as utilizing image captions as title tags. Quality relevant hashtags can also give your brand added attention, which in turn (with the right strategy) can turn to sales.    These platforms also encourage the practice of making your photos flawless, so the use of photo editing apps is generally accepted, all for a great photo. Finally, these platforms allow businesses to have a business profile.

There are some clear benefits to having a business profile.

For example, followers can click on your contact button to get in touch with you right from your Instagram page just like they would from your website.

A business profile allows you to create and publish Instagram ads without needing to use Facebook’s advertising tools.

You can also access Instagram analytics tools, called Insights, that provide stats about the impressions and reach of your posts.

Why not infographics?

The heyday of the infographic is long past. In the late 2000s to the early 2010s, all websites had to have infographics on their sites until there came a time when they were considered overrated and overused. So, now that a few years have passed and the internet is not overly saturated with infographics, it may be a good time to revisit this content form and use it to your advantage. Infographics are chockful of information that has a huge potential of being shared by information-hungry users, including bloggers who will refer you for the infographic while they get good quality content.

Think infographics are dead? We’ve heard all the complaints: the market’s too saturated, nobody cares about infographics anymore, etc. But as far as we know, not only are infographics not dead, they can give your site life long after they’re published. That’s why they are great tools to help your SEO. Every marketer is always on the hunt for the next holy grail, but infographics remain one of the most reliable ways to get your brand out into the world and higher in those rankings.

Know These Three Content Building Blocks

These days, all businesses what a piece of the eCommerce pie. That pie happens to be quite crowded with businesses wanting to be part of it, so everyone is implementing strategies to try and get more attention to their business. Once they are successful in having more people notice their business, then they try their darndest to convert them into paying customers who will actually buy the business’ product or service. For the first step of getting more people to your website, you’d need an effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategy that, if successful, will reward you with top search engine ranking that will get your business’ site more attention, especially from those who use search sites for anything.

However, we have to take note that SEO has been practiced for close to twenty years already, which means almost all businesses have some form of SEO practices in their online marketing arsenal. This is where creativity and strategy come into play. If you want to achieve top-notch SEO ranking, you need to try some unique methods to and mix it up with varied types of content. After all, having only one kind of content may at most appeal to only one type of audience. With different content format, the chances of attracting different kinds of audiences is higher, which then exposes your business to more people and increases your chances of making a sale. Here are some content formats to try when you’re just starting out on SEO:

Social Media

Content on social media becomes most effective when it is in tune with the times – after all, social media users look into their accounts to be updated with what’s trending in contemporary culture. Although this type of content is not directly related to search ranking results, having your social media assets perform well will ultimately call attention to your brand, which in turn will have an effect on your SEO efforts.

Also, what’s great about social media content is that you can whip it up in a jiffy without a lot of effort. Although some content, particularly visual types like videos and photos need to be original and subject to editing and other procedures, text-heavy content can be easily repurposed for use in your social media platforms. Text content on your website and blogs can be promoted on social media through links.

Therefore, social media works much more effectively for those businesses that have a strong understanding of their current customer base and/or have a strong understanding of the market they want to target. The caveat is that the market you are targeting has not shown interest or intent on a service like yours, so you must convince them otherwise with compelling ads.

Podcasts

Podcasts have gained a lot of popularity lately because they are readily available and they’re easy to be consumed by your potential customers. Users can listen to podcasts while they are doing other things, from driving to doing the laundry. If your brand is interested in creating podcasts to promote your products or services, you should have an easy time producing them because you will be just writing relevant content and recording a reading of what you wrote. I mean, you should have a lot of things to say about your business, right? Podcasts are great because they are traffic magnets which usually impact your search engine rankings positively.

An informative, engaging podcast opens the door for building your brand’s reputation and positioning your brand as an authority in the space. Your podcast can be a traditional interview style or take a more creative approach, but either way, you're building credibility with your audience by positioning your brand as a thought leader within your specific industry.

(Via: https://www.insideindianabusiness.com/story/41394737/7-ways-having-a-podcast-benefits-your-brand)

Case studies

In the age of fake news and unreliable sources of information, people are hungry for real data that businesses like you can provide through case studies and research. When a case study you publish gets traction with other websites (especially news sites, cross your fingers) attributing to it, SEO results will surely skyrocket, as your credibility gets a boost. Wondering what “research” content you can come up with? There are surveys you can run.

First and foremost, case studies are stories. They involve characters, conflict, and resolutions, and all of that showmanship brings your product or service to life. Without them, you can’t illustrate the ways your product can be used. Instead, you’re merely depicting the basics like where, when, and how your service came to be. While that information is important, stories are a more powerful way to activate the brain and persuade someone.

All Systems Go Marketing Publishes New Blog Post on 2020 Digital Marketing Trends

All Systems Go Marketing, an HVAC Digital Marketing and SEO services provider in La Mesa, California, has recently published a blog post that discusses the 2020 digital marketing trends. It is pointed out that voice search and digital assistants will be commonly used in 2020 as more people warm up to them. It is predicted that voice search will make up about 50 percent of all online searches. In addition, video will be the most popular form of content as videos have been steadily rising in popularity because of social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Furthermore, social media platforms are becoming even more important in digital marketing as these platforms continue adding features, such as playing games, shopping, and watching live events.

Craig Wright, owner of All Systems Go Marketing, says, “Digital marketing is one of the most, if not the most dynamic sector in the larger field of marketing. Because of its close ties with and reliance on technology, any advances of the latter also means a lot of changes affecting its landscape. Thus, there are always new techniques, trends, and tools being pioneered, which then make digital marketing more effective in catering to the constantly developing needs of the customers. In 2020, in response to these developments, some trends are predicted to take over digital marketing.”

The technology for voice search and digital assistants have been available in the market for years but at the start, people were slow to appreciate their benefits. But in 2020, more and more people are expected to shift to voice searches as online shoppers expect automatic answers to their questions and won’t want to waste time typing in their searches. SEO strategies will need to be adjusted with the increasing use of voice queries. Websites need to have those featured snippets and zero-click searches ensured to be compatible with digital assistants like Siri, Google Now, and Alexa. For instance, digital assistants only read back the first entry on the search engine results page.

Another digital marketing trend that has to be taken into consideration in 2020 is that video content has become the most popular form of content. It has become quite obvious that text content has become saturated and that video as a form of content is expected to grow further in 2020. Digital marketing efforts will have to be adjusted therefore because almost half of web users already prefer to obtain video content from the companies that they follow.

And social media platform are getting more involved in digital marketing as they start to offer more features, such as online shopping and playing games. Companies are now able to integrate their online stores to their social media profile in Facebook, Instagram, and more.

Meanwhile, one of the specialties of All Systems Go Marketing is HVAC SEO services. The company has a team of HVAC SEO specialists who have the industry knowledge and experience to develop campaigns that can boost the client’s online presence. Their SEO solutions are performance-driven, which means that once it has been put in motion, clients will begin to see the impact of solid SEO on their HVAC company. The result is not just higher ranking in the search engine results page but also an improved bottom line.

Their digital marketing strategies are tailor fitted to the specific business, with the deliverables being made transparent so that clients will know exactly the depth and extent of the services being provided. They make use of a wide range of SEO strategies to optimize the site’s organic searches. And each of these techniques is leveraged by a team of experienced SEO professionals that take into consideration overall competition and current positions. Their comprehensive SEO process has been shown to drive over one million leads to client sites since they were founded in 2001.
